Important Announcement

As most of you will be aware, Lilliput Lane is part of the Enesco Group

The current trading climate has presented our company with many challenges which businesses throughout the world are facing today.

In order to safeguard our much-respected manufacturing sites, we have undertaken a re-structuring of our business which will preserve Lilliput Lane as a robust, prosperous and British-made collectors’ brand.

Regrettably, this will mean changes; to take no action would leave Lilliput Lane and our other manufacturing sites exposed and vulnerable. Therefore, we propose to move production of the Lilliput Lane brand to our Langholm site, where Border Fine Arts Classics are made. Many of our colleagues who have been based at Penrith will also transfer to the new site.

We will adhere to the same quality and production standards which you have come to expect from the Lilliput Lane brand over the years. There will be no change to the running of the Collectors’ Club, which includes Gulliver’s World, retailer events and the Annual Fair. In short, there will be no change in the way we operate as a business, or in the service we provide to you as a Collectors’ Club Member.

Sadly, one area affected by this, is Honeysuckle Cottage, which will close on the 13th March, 2009. We know that many of you have made personal visits to this lovely cottage and will be on first-name terms with several of our colleagues from Penrith, so we assure you that we did not take this decision lightly. It has always been our intention to offer you a personal, dedicated and friendly welcome with great service, and the Penrith team certainly achieved that. We hope to strengthen our friendships with you at retail events and the Annual Fair later this year.

We feel that it is fundamental to safeguard the integrity of the Lilliput Lane brand and the people who work therein, for the future, so that we can continue to develop products which charm and delight their very special audience — you.

We will continue to offer a comprehensive mail-order service, which will include the entire Lilliput Lane Collection with all Visitor Centre Specials, from our Langholm shop. Please see the contact details below:

Thank you for all the support you have shown to Lilliput Lane, and for appreciating what we love to do, which is to re-create our architectural heritage in miniature. This will continue, as will the very special friendship between ourselves and you, the collector.

As always, if you have any queries please contact the Collectors’ Club at the usual address.
